Jamie Lee Curtis Going Topless At 50 – Help From Cosmetic Surgery?:

Jamie Lee Curtis is one actress who has got quite a kitty-full of nicknames to mark her advancement in Hollywood. She started out with ‘Scream Queen’, moved on to ‘The Body’ and finally ended up with ‘Freeze Frame’. As you must have guessed, the latter two names are on deference to her fantastic figure that got its share of wolf whistles.

It would be hard to believe that this actress once had a cosmetic surgery procedure like liposuction and even dabbled in Botox. The procedures did not turn out to be what she expected and she pretty much shocked fans when she admitted that she turned to painkillers to drown the disappointment.

Then JLC announced that she would be quitting acting altogether because she wasn’t ‘ageing well’. So it comes as something of an irony when I came across a cover she did for the AARP saying that she did it to urge people to ‘age wisely and well’.

Hmm… quite a contradiction this woman is, I must say.

But then for an actress who was blasted with rumors of being a hermaphrodite, she turned out to be quite the sexy screen siren. I wonder, did she have some help from a breast augmentation to bolster that image?

Whatever her secret may be, at 50 Jamie Lee Curtis has finally made peace with her body and self and looks all the more better for it.

So what do you think? Do you still have it in you to rock the world? The Plastic Surgery Institute of California would sure love to know how you do it!

Wanna Get That Feel Good Feeling? Cosmetic Surgery Orange County Can Oblige:

That amazing branch of medicine that can rethink the way you look at your body (usually for the better) is none other than plastic surgery. a tummy tuck Beverly Hills, a chin enhancement Beverly Hills or a face lift Pasadena can do wonders for your body image and your personality as well.

Top plastic surgeons at the Plastic Surgery Institute of California can even modify these major elective cosmetic surgery procedures (working on the guidelines set by a certifying body like the ASPS of course) and can use them for corrective treatment of various parts of the body. This is the serious side of cosmetic surgery and is loosely given the moniker of plastic surgery.

It is possible for a patient to be displeased or dissatisfied with the outcome of a procedure like face lift surgery Beverly Hills or a nose surgery Orange County. While I am not going to say this is normal I am not going to lie about its possibility either. The best precaution to reduce this possibility is by establishing a good communication level with your plastic surgeon.

You attitude towards plastic surgery can also affect your satisfaction with the job. “Plastic surgery junkies need to think about why they want more work done. Obviously it’s much easier to change your outlook on life than it is to change your external look…” (Rosen Christine, The Democratization of Beauty, 2004, p.2).

What do you think? Do you think you can be a good candidate for getting that feel good feeling with cosmetic surgery? Our advanced surgical institute for cosmetic surgery can help you find out.

How Much Silicone Is Good Enough For You?:

I came across this rather sad story about a Philippine actress today which left me feeling very bad for the poor soul.

The actress Lau An Ling, has had about US$200,000 worth in cosmetic treatments till date (since 1999), reflecting the cosmetic surgery antics of many of her Western counter-parts (Jocelyn Wildenstein, Joan Rivers, etc.).

This lady has had silicone implants inserted into her face, nose, hands and buttocks and even in her vagina. Whew, what an awful lot of dissatisfaction she must have felt towards her body!

So where did this woman go wrong?

The vaginoplasty this woman had was the start of her troubles. She says, “I was desperate to make myself more beautiful, to assure myself that I am an attractive woman.” There are few bad things that you can enter with into a plastic surgery procedure with and an unrealistic attitude towards it certainly counts as the weakest.

Lau An Ling oscillated between many doctors, cosmetologists and plastic surgeons because she was “very trusting and some of these doctors are big names in the Philippines.” No matter how attractive a cosmetic surgeon may be and no matter how big a celebrity client-list he may have, it is a smart move to check up on his certification and his board affiliation.

Make a wise plastic surgery California decision. There’s more to lose than your identity if your surgery goes wrong.

Contact the Plastic Surgery Institute of California for further details.

Would You Give An Arm For Plastic Surgery?:

There are some people (Madonna, Angelina Jolie) who work hard to cultivate that thin-boned, muscle-armed look; so much so that their veins come to the surface from time to time.

And then again there are those whose arms are either too bulky or too saggy to pull off a bare-arm and shoulder look. I’m talking about people like Britney spears and Kelly Osbourne over here.

For the former group there is no better piece of advice than putting on some healthy weight and eating well. While for the latter group losing weight uniformly could be a smart action. Unless of course you want to have an arm lift cosmetic surgery procedure called brachioplasty.

Bat wings or floppy arms are remedied very well through this plastic surgery Los Angeles procedure which shucks off excess skin responsible for the saggy appearance. This cosmetic surgery Los Angeles procedure can also help out with subcutaneous fat deposits that look rather lumpy when wearing that gorgeous sleeveless gown.

At the Plastic Surgery Institute of California we have an excellent team of dedicated plastic surgeons who take care of minor physical deformities that seem to make a major difference in physical appearance.

Do you have arms that look terrible? Get in touch with our advanced surgical institute.

How Long Does Your Cosmetic Surgery Last?:

The first fact about cosmetic surgery Newport Beach that you need to remember is that it includes both cosmetic enhancement operations and reconstructive surgery procedures. The first instance is generally performed to reshape normal body parts in order to improve the patient's over-all appearance.

On the other hand reconstructive plastic surgery Orange County is usually performed on unconventional parts of the body to improve their functions, and possibly rectify any deformities. If the plastic surgeon is experienced enough he can also perform a reconstructive surgery and give it a cosmetic edge.

The approximate time for procedure however, differs. A tummy tuck procedure Orange County takes 2-3 hours while a botox treatment takes just about 10 minutes. A breast augmentation Beverly Hills takes about an hour as compared to a breast lift surgery Orange County or a breast reduction Orange County any of which could last for 2-3 hours.

A chin enhancement Beverly Hills takes about an hour just the same as an eyelid surgery Newport Beach. A face lift Pasadena however, due to its complex nature, takes a little longer than the others- approximately 3-4 hours while liposuction surgery Los Angeles duration is again subjective to what areas need to be worked on.

Different procedures last for different durations. Want to know which one suits you best?

Bug Your PSI Plastic Surgeons With These Questions – We Encourage It:

The dream to look and feel better is what you have. The ability to sculpt this dream into reality is what your plastic surgeon should be capable of. In order for this to be possible, a number of vital questions have to be answered before going ahead with the process that leads up to satisfactory surgery results.

The most important question is the one that concerns your decision to go ahead with plastic surgery. You have to be sure of what type of surgery you exactly want. Do you want to go for enhancing or reconstructing your face? Then maybe you need to go for a cheek, chin or lip augmentation, or a facelift, or a rhinoplasty, or ear correction. If enhancing your breasts is what you want, then there are breast augmentations, lifts, reductions or reconstructive options available.

Get your homework done.
With the ‘before surgery’ and ‘after surgery’ photographs most clinics and organizations display in their advertisements, cosmetic surgery is bound to look very appealing at the best of times. But it is important to be aware of the risks, complications, and other precautions that come along with a surgery. How comfortable you are with the clinic and cosmetic surgeon you have selected depends a lot on how well you do your homework.

A surgeon’s skills are as good as his credentials and experience.
While you may have been referred a surgeon by a friend, acquaintance or even your own physician, it is important that you run a check before utilizing his services just to be safe. It’s that seemingly insignificant step towards getting better results. Ask for his and his clinic’s certification as well. Members of the ASPS, for instance, are trained particularly in plastic surgery. The Plastic Surgery Institute of California is one such facility that is affiliated with this association.

Techniques and processes that will be applied in your surgery.
An understanding of what you will undergo under the knife will help a long way, both emotionally and physically in softening the cut and soothing it later. It’s your body, and you have to be able to understand what was done to it to appreciate the new you and take care of yourself better.

We have a team of qualified and experienced surgeons at our advanced surgical institute who are able to guide you with detailed advice on cosmetic surgery procedures with ease. No doubt or misgiving is too small to go unanswered.

Plastic Surgery Alert - Are You A Beauty Junky?:

A new book on cosmetic surgery has been making the rounds lately and I should be getting my hands on it soon. According to the product description that I read up on Amazon the author of Beauty Junkies, Alex Kuczynzki “captures the follies, frauds, and fanaticism that fuel the American pursuit of youth and beauty in a wickedly revealing excursion into the burgeoning business of cosmetic enhancement.”

That in itself makes it sound very ominous for the plastic surgery profession. Since I have yet to read the book, I am reserving comment for now. But it still makes me wonder how many similar books this branch of medicine can do without to increase the seeds of doubt in the minds of people.

The book My Beautiful Mommy, a ‘guide’ book for young children whose parents have had a plastic surgery Orange County is still in the eye of controversy and in my opinion the ripples are going to last for a long time. Kuczynski’s book seems to raise some questions as well, mainly in the eyes of the wary consumer and the untrusting third person.

Is America truly beauty obsessed or are we just seeking something that will make us view ourselves in a more positive light? More than a fraction of the patients that visit us at our advanced surgical institute for cosmetic enhancement surgery recount stories of how they need a positive change in their life. The reasons for this change centers mostly around their decision to have plastic surgery for themselves.

If they think otherwise, consultation experts experienced in professional counseling are always ready to help them out. If you are a beauty junky, the Plastic Surgery Institute of California can help you cultivate a healthier attitude towards your body.

Financial Security - Check Or Uncheck:

The ‘knife-style’ of the rich is no longer exclusively for the strata of society from which its popularity originated. Plastic surgery has entered the living room of the average American man and woman with a host of television and movie celebrities openly flaunting their perfect- to- a- T bodies.

The increase in popularity of this branch of medicine has led to a decrease in the cost of cosmetic surgery procedures. As its exclusivity is no more limited, plastic surgery is so widespread today, that by the year 2020, people are sure to backtrack if you say you haven’t undergone plastic surgery even once, according to Sander Gilman, an Emory University professor and author of two books on plastic surgery. Evidently, going under the knife has ceased to be a pocket pincher.

When charging you for their services, plastic surgeons consider factors like their experience and demand in the field, the time, effort and complexity of the procedure and the geographic location of the facility. Accompanying factors like operating room and anesthesia fees, lab fees, implant costs, etc. are also deciding factors where price is concerned. After zeroing in on the procedure you want to go ahead with, it is advisable to conduct a detailed research into the practices and prices of different cosmetic surgeons in order to get a bird’s eye view of all the options available.

The one drawback that plastic surgery for aesthetic purposes faces is its exclusion from health insurance plans. However, plastic surgery for correcting a disfigurement or deformities does not face any such problem. The significant difference between aesthetic surgery and reconstructive surgery is highlighted when this factor is taken into consideration. Loans for cosmetic surgery, though available in some banks, are treated as ‘unsecured’ personal loans.

At the Plastic Surgery Institute of California, we arrange for financing with major financial institutions at competitive rates. A superior standard and exceptional quality in surgery procedures is what we guarantee you. We take preoperative photographs and include them in your medical record.

Ear correction:

Ear surgery, also known as otoplasty, is typically done to set prominent ears back closer to the head or to moderate the size of large ears. Few unfortunate people grow up with prominent ears, receiving teases and scoffs.

In order to avoid this, the Plastic Surgery Institute of California suggests ear correction surgery, preferably when the child is between ages four to 5 years.

Ear surgery, by and large takes about two to three hours. However, complicated procedures may take longer. The problem determines the duration of the operation.

There are two ways that cosmetic surgeons go about this surgical procedure. With one of the more common techniques, the surgeon makes a small incision in the back of the ear to expose the ear cartilage. He will then sculpt the cartilage and bend it back toward the head. Non-removable stitches may be used to help maintain the new shape. Occasionally, the surgeon will remove a larger piece of cartilage to provide a more natural-looking fold when the surgery is complete.

Another technique involves a similar incision in the back of the ear. Skin is removed and stitches are used to fold the cartilage back on itself to reshape the ear without removing cartilage.

Ear correction surgery will leave a faint scar in the back of the ear that will fade with time. Even when only one ear appears to protrude, surgery is usually performed on both ears for a better balance.

The Plastic Surgery Institute of California helps you build a positive approach towards the surgery. At our advanced surgical institute, we have the best plastic surgeons in the industry at are work centers located at Beverly Hills and Los Angeles.

Hey, There Goes An Orange! (Fake Tans Are So Not Cool):

Finally there’s someone speaking up about the over-tanned body craze that has hit the world lately. Just about everybody and their grandmother has been sporting the ridiculous baked-orange ‘glow’ that, in my opinion, looks simply hideous.

A natural suntan is something and an over-done suntan (Donatella Versace) or an artificial one (Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, Pamela Anderson) is quite another thing altogether. There are people who prefer a tanned look through a sunbed rather than the natural vitamin D that can be soaked in from the sun.

According to research, sunbeds can be real harmful for the skin and are even known to cause skin cancer. Some affected cases have permanently damage skin with blemishes and blotchy spots.

Cosmetic surgery procedures like laser treatments can remedy blemishes and spots caused by excess tanning, but they cannot be expected to be of much help. Your safest bet would be to use a tanning spray, lotion or bronzer, sparingly may I add.

It would be nice to see a tanned person who doesn’t make the eyes hurt for a change. For more plastic surgery help, visit the Plastic Surgery Institute of California.

Athletes And Plastic Surgery - Viable Or Not?:

Anna Kournikova is looking very toned and sexy these days. The trademark tubby body that we are used to seeing in female tennis stars has disappeared from the Russian bombshell’s body.

Anna may be a plastic surgery teetotaler though, as she looks just like she did when she made her debut on the tennis courts. Oh her weight did fluctuate over the years, but on the whole she looks the same. But there are athletes and sportsmen who have dabbled in plastic surgery and cosmetic enhancement from time to time.

There were the nasal strips that surfaced in the previous decade which promised to increase air intake for athletes. More often than not, plastic surgery among athletes tends to lean towards the reconstructive/corrective type.

Sportsmen and women who are actively into sports have been observed to display a condition called ‘athletic pubalgia’ or sports hernia which occurs in the area where the muscle meets the pevis. The problem can be effectively solved using endoscopic surgery techniques.

Athletes who engage themselves in high-performance sports compared to recreational sports have to consider carefully what cosmetic surgery procedure they want to have as they tend to stress their muscles more. You should contact a qualified plastic surgeon who will be able to check your suitability for plastic surgery.

Visit the Plastic Surgery Institute of California for more help and information.

Enhance Your Natural Beauty With Plastic Surgery:

Coleen McLoughlin, Jodie Marsh and scores of women have both tried to emulate Audrey Hepburn, the fascinating doe-eyed actress of Breakfast at Tiffany fame and all they have managed is cheap, un-chic imitation. Everybody wants beauty that seems to halt time itself.

Plastic surgery can create alluring faces and bodies but that’s about it. No need to get disappointed though as the best part about cosmetic enhancement is that it can slow down time which is quite enough for most people.

Plastic surgery is a class apart from the rest of the more technical forms of medicine. The genius of a cosmetic surgeon relies heavily on their ability to mould, shape and sculpt a patient’s body or features. From ancient Indian and Egyptian practitioners to femme fatale Demi Moore, it has been an illustrative journey for this branch of medicine.

Popular culture, has led to a tremendous increase in the demand for more and more people embracing this option to improve their physical appearance. While smashing results are expected by patients of cosmetic surgery, it is smart to take into account the practicality of any cosmetic procedure.

Now maybe if McLoughlin and Marsh could be just a bit more practical, they could turn out to be as enchanting as the lovely Audrey Hepburn.

At the Plastic Surgery Institute of California, we are constantly innovating ourselves. The extra effort that needs to be put in to enhance your natural beauty is always something our team of certified plastic surgeons has been continually working upon.

Confidence, Health And Plastic Surgery:

With the increasing options that cosmetic surgeons and clinics provide patients with, there is a shift noticed from the application of cosmetic surgery for purely aesthetic purposes to re constructing and correcting congenital deformities. Breast reconstructions, Otoplasty, correcting asymmetry in pectoral muscles in men, etc. are some of the reconstruction procedures that are provided at the Plastic Surgery Institute of California.

The boost in self esteem that such procedures provide is very noticeable and can turn out to be advantageous for the patient. Almost anyone desiring a plastic surgery can consider having one with the proper resources and means at their disposal (you have to be medically fit as well).

Improved health conditions are a natural result of cosmetic surgery. With the patient looking and feeling better, there is a motivation for maintaining his body shape. Reconstructive surgeries like hand surgery, skin grafting, etc. too are options available to those seeking to treat conditions sustained due to accidents and help greatly in the healing process.

The patient testimonials that we receive at our advanced surgical institute, are constant motivators. We provide first-end services to assist you in building up your personality and confidence along with improving your health.

Plastic Surgery Vs. Cosmetic Surgery:

Often considered synonymous with each other, both these terms are but different aspects of the main branch of medicine known as plastic surgery.

Plastic surgery, technically speaking, is held to involve corrective or reconstructive surgery procedures that repair or correct deformities or abnormalities. For instance, surgeries for correcting protruding ears- Otoplasty, removing nasal deformities- rhinoplasty and also procedures for correcting abdominal deformities caused due to surgery- Abdominal Lipectomy.

However, these very same procedures can also be used to enhance the features in question by a cosmetic surgery. A rhinoplasty can shape the nose and enhance a profile; an otoplasty can give a slender shape to the ears, while an abdominal lipectomy can also give a patient a narrow waist and a gently curved tummy.

As you can see, there are no definite lines that distinguish between these two terms. Hence, a plastic surgeon is also called a cosmetic surgeon. Once they are done with reconstructive surgery, they usually enhance the results to look as natural as possible.

Keeping this in mind, a plastic surgeon needs to apply his aesthetic sensibilities in such a way that the body is enhanced with a simple reconstructive procedure. Thus, both cosmetic enhancements as well as reconstructive needs can be met at times.

The distinction between the two terms is usually highlighted by financial institutions which favor corrective surgery for a loan. The Plastic Surgery Institute of California can help you select the procedure you wish to have.

What’s Cooking In Canadian Plastic Surgery? Will It Affect The U.S.?

It’s sad that deaths mark the start of any major law process in the world. Martyrs have always held a special place in the annals of history for the causes they championed. One such martyr was the 32 year-old real estate agent, Krista Stryland, a Canadian whose death due to a liposuction procedure opened a can of worms in Canadian plastic surgery.

The debate which spanned for several months culminated recently in The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario voting a regulation that prohibits doctors, physicians and the rest of the medical profession from describing themselves as cosmetic surgeons without being certified for carrying out plastic surgery.

Closer home, the campaign for the Donda West Bill too is in full swing following the death of Donda West due to complications arising during her plastic surgery operation.

Patients, plastic surgeons and governments the world over are clamoring for set standards of plastic surgery practice. Finally waking up to the realities of plastic surgery and viewing it as a regular surgery with the very real possibility of complications, such a serious treatment to this branch of medicine has been long lacking.

Exhibiting awareness, education and expertise on part of the plastic surgeon as well as the patient (at least in the first two requirements) is prudent. For accredited plastic surgeons and advanced cosmetic surgery visit the Plastic Surgery Institute of California.

A Responsible Decision – Plastic Surgery:

Tell me, however does stripping in a movie make you a mature, responsible actress? Apparently Lindsey Lohan thinks so, the daft sucker! You would think that women like Dame Judi Dench and Helen Mirren were crazy to take the long hard route to superstardom ignoring something like stripping for their roles which could have made them respectable actors.

Lilo actually went and replicated Marilyn Monroe’s photo shoot as well on the February cover of New York. Now Marilyn Monroe may not be though of as a mature actress but what she did have going for her was oodles of charisma and beauty that was nearly flawless. The world gasped when Lohan attempted to copy this timeless beauty.

No amount of cosmetic surgery would be able to make Lindsey Lohan equal to a Helen Mirren or a Marilyn Monroe. Why? Because plastic surgery is more than skin deep, you need the guts to carry a look and exude style. Unless Lilo puts in some serious thought into her acting career and gets her personality on track, she doesn’t have a chance. Not even with cosmetic surgery.

But cosmetic surgery can be a confidence booster for many people in the workplace. At the Plastic Surgery Institute of California we come across working people from all walks of life looking for a cosmetic procedure that enhances the way they think about themselves and present themselves to the world. We however check our prospective patients for any psychological motivations as well as they can result in unrealistic expectations.

How Pert Is Your Butt?:

Most male fantasies include a butt that that defies gravity and breasts to go with it. A woman with the right curves on her can make any masculine mind go crazy. Jennifer Lopez probably insured her derriere banking on this very fact.

The ASPS noted a total of over 1,038 buttock implants performed in 2007, a 62 percent rise from the previous year. Is this number set to triple by 2008? The statistics do point to this possibility not to mention fashion trends throwing out the skinny for the curvy.

Cosmetic surgery procedures like buttock lifts, buttock implants and complete lower body lifts have a solution for plumping up the backsides of women. The implants used for a buttock augmentation are harder and firmer than the more fluid ones used in a breast augmentation procedure.

The procedure is not without pain though as buttock enhancement involves an area that is subject to major abuse daily. Cosmetic surgeons warn patients about the complications of a buttock augmentation which are similar to the ones regarding breast augmentation.

Complete physical activities can usually resume within a month of the plastic surgery. Incidentally, a buttock augmentation can be performed on men as well, though the number is significantly lower.

Contact the Plastic Surgery Institute of California for more help and information on cosmetic buttock enhancement.

Hairy Woes:

George Clooney shares the fears of thousands of American men who go bald before their time. All of 48, the suave and stylish Clooney is scared that his hair will thin out and land him less plum roles ultimately leading to a fizzle out in his career.

Men working in professions where looks and grooming matter (which is just about any profession) don’t mind spending those extra bucks for a pate that looks fuller for this very reason.

But other
Hollywood men have done just fine with their receding hairlines by opting for hair transplant treatments to get back their locks. Johnny Depp, Owen Wilson, Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson, the list goes on and features just about every hot guy on the silver screen.

The International Society of Hair Restoration Society (ISHRS) reported a rise in hair transplant surgeries among younger men from 2004 to 2006 in a survey held last year. So apart from all these perfect male specimens that make women swoon, men aged 20-29 also suffer this problem.

Dealing with hair loss can be quite easy once you have access to the right plastic surgeon or a trained cosmetologist. At the Plastic Surgery Institute of California you can have access to both. Men having a hair transplant or unwanted hair removal treatment can also have a Botox treatment to treat wrinkles around the eyes.

Enhance Your Age The Right Way:

Joan Rivers believes in plastic surgery. She also believes in too much Botox and in too much make up. The 73 year-old comedienne and jewelry designer is infamous for having a liposuction on the day her husband committed suicide and joking about his death afterwards.

And to think Amanda Holden wants to look like Rivers when she’s old! The pretty 37 year-old Holden like Rivers also believes in cosmetic surgery with one minor difference – she wants to do it when the time is right.

Joan Rivers on the other hand, is constantly dabbling in plastic surgery and has gone so far out in practicing her beliefs that her doctor refuses to see her anymore. Anyone would, just take a look at her permanently freezed face and you would definitely shudder.

Ranked right next to plastic surgery horrors like Jocelyn Wildenstein, Joan seems set to outrank the socialite if she goes on abusing her face so much. Hopefully, Amanda Holden will come to her senses soon and stop thinking about ageing ‘gracefully’ like Rivers.

For plastic surgery that is right for your age and enhances your physical features naturally, visit the experts at the Plastic Surgery Institute of California. Experienced plastic surgeons at our
Pasadena and Orange County advanced surgical institutes will help you out.

Transgender cosmetic surgery

A lot of hoo-haa has been made recently about Thailand’s attitude towards the third sex and her constantly changing views on it. This Asian country is viewed as something of a leader in the cosmetic sex-change industry with castrations being offered for as less as $125.

Breast enhancements using implants, a technique called penile inversion, Adam’s apple shaving and a host of other procedures are offered for men who want to look like their female counterparts. These unusual but not unheard of cosmetic surgery procedures find a lot of takers in Thailand with the country even playing host to what was Asia’s largest Gay and Lesbian event some years back.

Transgender cosmetic surgery, while a heavily disputed by religious groups and medical experts is undoubtedly performed in the West. The pregnant man featured recently on Oprah and the 1990s drag queen star RuPaul are indicators of this branch of cosmetic surgery.

Among male transgenders, procedures like breast augmentation, tummy tuck, various face surgery procedures and surgical manipulation of the reproductive organs are the usual cosmetic manipulations performed while among the women breast surgery to flatten the chest is the preferred surgery.

Transgender cosmetic surgeries are a reality and are performed in the U.S. At the Plastic Surgery Institute of California we do come across such cases and advice them as we would our other patients. Visit us for an unbiased opinion on cosmetic surgery.

When One Thing Leads To Another:

Croatian model Kristina Lumbar thinks, “all guys love girls with large breasts and plump lips, they just don`t want to admit it.” This probably explains why girls as young as 18 want to have breast augmentation procedures.

Medical experts maintain that from the 400,000 breast augmentation surgeries performed in the U.S. last year at least 2 percent hailed from the under 18 age group. Plastic surgeons also get many girls coming to them with pictures of Angelina Jolie and Jessica Simpson for getting some cosmetic surgery work done celebrity-style on them.

The famous and unanimously sexy Angelina pout however, has given over to the trout-pout sported increasingly by the new breed of actresses like Jenna Jameson, Leslie Ash and Traci Bingham. These women are also known to dabble in other cosmetic surgery procedures which somehow seem to clash very badly.

A lot of glam beauties like Jenna Jameson, Vivica Fox and Christina Aguilera are known to get a breast surgery and a lip augmentation. The co-incidence beats me.

At the Plastic Surgery Institute of California we do offer multiple cosmetic surgery procedures as a package, but they are carefully selected first and then recommended to the patient.

An exhaustive evaluation of the patient’s plus points and flaws is mandatory and we give a lot of importance to this step. While the results can never be guaranteed, we prefer giving our patients a more natural look at our advanced surgical institute.

The New Lift On The Block:

Boasted about as mini facelift, this cosmetic surgery procedure is another example of the latest developments taking place in the area of day care surgery. Plastic surgeons in Seattle have developed a technique to perform a face lift that can be performed in a plastic surgeon’s office and involves no anesthesia at all.

The only pain reducing agent involved is a drug called valium which is introduced to a patient during certain cosmetic procedures.

Outpatient or day care plastic surgery requires the presence of an anesthesiologist who assists the plastic surgeon during the procedure. This new type of face lift however, removes the need to have an anesthesiologist thus reducing costs, but also adding to the risks involved.

Regular cosmetic face lifts take two to three weeks for the swelling to settle down whereas this new procedure allows people to get back to work within a week. Plastic surgeons advice patients to concentrate on their recovery during this period as the head needs to be kept elevated, the bandages have to be cleaned and depending on the progress made the sutures will be removed.

Before having an outpatient surgery, get your research done and get consultation from your plastic surgeon. Only after you are assured of the plastic surgeon’s credibility and experience in the cosmetic surgery of your choice is it advisable that you consider a newly developed cosmetic procedure.

Faces That Rock And Faces That Stink:

Sarah Jessica Parker bagged the role of a lifetime with her iconic character Carrie Bradshaw in the hit series Sex and the City. As Carrie, SJP made millions of women re-think the way they dress and look with her quirky ensembles and designer threads.

So when Maxim voted her the ‘Unsexiest women alive’, her disappointment is completely understandable. SJP is rumored to have had a rhinoplasty to narrow down her nose which by unanimous opinion was some very good plastic surgery

Put her next to the once quite passable Courtney Love and you would have thought this mad rocker would have bagged the ‘honor’. But guess Love will have to wait for next year by when she might make some more bad decisions and get a bad plastic surgeon or a worse boyfriend.

Plastic surgery is not just for everyone, it enhances some people’s bodies and for some it just over emphasizes innate beauty. It all boils down to the compatibility of the plastic surgeon and the expectations of the patient who wishes to have a cosmetic surgery procedure.

These two vital components make up an excellently executed plastic surgery job. Visit the Plastic Surgery Institute of California where we can help you realize the full potential of your body without you losing out on your inherent beauty. work.

Day Care Cosmetic Surgery:

Plastic surgery for the masses is the motto of this £750,000 center for plastic surgery in Lancashire, England. The state of the art center is said to be inspired by the day case surgery or outpatient surgery system popular in the United States.

From the 60 percent surgeries preformed currently in the U.S., medical experts predict the figure to increase by 15 percent in the next decade. The convenience and low cost of health care involved in outpatient plastic surgery procedures is cited as two of the main motivators for this form of surgery.

For an outpatient cosmetic surgery procedure the patient does not have to be admitted into the surgical institute for an overnight stay. Some ambulatory cosmetic surgery procedures for adults include otoplasty or ear surgery, eyelid surgery, laser treatments, face lift surgery and a mini-tummy tuck.

Patients who find it difficult to afford a cosmetic surgery procedure usually request plastic surgeons for an outpatient surgery. While the actual surgery takes place within a few hours, the consultation procedure takes place weeks or days earlier.

This prior consultation helps the cosmetic surgeon and the anesthesiologist involved to study the patient’s medical records and evaluate his suitability for a plastic surgery treatment.

The Plastic Surgery Institute of California has exceptionally outfitted facilities that are suitable for performing outpatient cosmetic surgery procedures. Drop by for an appointment and a smooth consultation process.

Living Room Laser Treatments:

The U.S. Food and Drug Association recently cleared a device called Silk’n for removal of hair growing in the underarms, lower legs and on the bikini line. The gadget makes use of lasers to get rid of unwanted hair in the desired areas.

Medical analysts predict a rise in demand for such devices which rule out the need for repeated visits to the plastic surgeon’s office. One restriction that is placed on the sale of laser hair removal devices however is over their OTC sale. It requires only plastic surgeons and physicians to retail them.

This is just as well, because laser hair removal treatments are not for everyone. For instance, dark skinned individuals and light haired people do not respond well to laser hair removal treatments.

The Hair Removal Journal also emphasizes the importance of experienced physicians and cosmetic surgeons administering and supervising the laser hair removal treatments. Not only are professionals trained to deal with any complication, but they are also in a better position to identify those individuals who can or may not benefit from laser hair removal.

An advanced surgical institute for cosmetic enhancement, the Plastic Surgery Institute of California offers laser hair removal services in a controlled environment. We are also affiliated with the ASPS and adhere to the highest standards of cosmetic surgery and medical requirements.

Slipping Into Sky High Heels Effortlessly With Botox:

The new ‘it’ shoes are simply to-die-for; take a look at the new Christian Louboutin red-soled shoe range and you’ll know what I’m talking about. Highly celebrated and proudly flaunted by many a celebrity, socialite and climber, these red-soled shoes remind each woman that it doesn’t matter how meaty or lacking her legs are. Shod in a knock-out pair, she can have the world at her feet.

But one of the main problems associated with high heels is the strain it puts on the calf muscles and the heels. A lot of women balk at the idea of wearing stilettos for this very reason.

Medical researchers have observed a variety of foot problems ailing people who wear high heels frequently. One of these problems is metatarsalgia which is a pain in the ball of the foot. Bunions, calluses and hammertoe are some other foot conditions that are observed.

At this year’s Academy Awards, actresses were known to have a special Botox treatment for their foot which shielded their feet from unnecessary stress. The demand for stiletto foot surgery escalated during this period. Cosmetic surgeons insert padding in the feet to cushion the ball of the foot when wearing heels.

At the Plastic Surgery Institute of California you can even soak your feet in the special Foot Paraffin Treatment or minimize the appearance of cellulite in your calves. Check in for treatments that pamper your feet at our advanced surgical institute.
