The World’s Perfect Man – Batman

Oh yeah… You heard that right. But the Batman I’m referring to is the latest one to don the caped crusader’s cape- Christian Bale.

Last year a study headed by the Polish University of Gdansk conducted detailed research and found out that height, waist-to-hip ratio, body mass index and waist-to-chest ratio are the vital stats when measuring attractiveness in males.

According to their measures Christian Bale was found to fit the mould of the perfect man flawlessly.

There’s no doubt that 34-year-old Christian is a fine specimen of the male species, but the important fact remains that much of his attraction lies in his physical fitness. Now if you worked on your physique properly and left the appearance to plastic surgery I’m certain that the results would be far from imperfect.

Why don’t you get in touch with our consultants at the Plastic Surgery Institute of California? We’ll help you out with cosmetic surgery procedures that will pull, trim and tone and polish your outward appearance to look every bit the male rake.

From face surgery procedures like eyelid surgery and injectable fillers to laser resurfacing and thigh and calf liposuction, the options are many and varied. Punch in our number today for advanced cosmetic surgery help.

Of Pig Noses And The Kardashians

On the one hand there’s LA’s plasticized family keeping the cosmetic surgery torch held high and on the other there is a snout-nosed actress questioning the way society perceives beauty.

What’s common between these two stories? They are both related and enacted by people who have been in the spotlight and are beautiful in their own way- Kim Kardashian and Christina Ricci.

Keeping up with the Kardashians is a reality show that documents the lives, loves and exploits of the predominantly female Kardashian/Jenner families. Kim Kardashian the second daughter of Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian is the focal point of the series and fodder for the ratings the show brings in.

Kim, it is a widely accepted fact, is a plastic surgery poster-girl and in the latest episode has a cellulite reduction surgery on her infamous back-side along with her two sisters.

Penelope, on the other hand, is a sensitive romance film about a girl who is born with an ugly nose to parents that are immensely wealthy. Portrayed by Christina Ricci, a very unconventional actor, the young girl overcomes her birth defect without a cosmetic nose surgery. In a very fantasy-like story, true love gets her nose back for her.

Amazing, how cosmetic surgery can influence two very different tinsel town shows!

Send in your views and suggestions about cosmetic surgery to the Plastic Surgery Institute of California. We are definitely interested in your perception of beauty.

Have You Pampered Your Feet Lately?

Before any major red carpet event the dazzling ladies of Hollywood (and some dashing men as well) are known to indulge their body in every aesthetic treatment and dabble with the plastic surgeon’s knife.

From seemingly innocent hair extensions and dental veneers to major elective cosmetic surgery procedures like face lift surgery, rhinoplasty and breast augmentations, beauty is pursued in all its forms and no promise is left unchecked.

Cosmetic foot surgery is just one of these treatments and not surprisingly finds a lot of takers.

However, I must add here that the requests that they put forward to plastic surgeons sometimes border on the atrocious to the ridiculous and could have dangerous consequences. Toe shortening and arch surgery to fit into shoes, ankle shaving foot and toe liposuction and even implants to cushion the ball of the foot are often requested.

While foot facials are a very safe and commonly requested cosmetic foot treatment, the above surgeries are not really encouraged by cosmetic surgeons. Foot surgeries to fix deformities that restrict normal foot function are the procedures that plastic surgeons recommend.

Hammertoes, asymmetry in the feet, tendon and bone damage, etc. are recognized foot problems that warrant a foot surgery. The surgeons at the Plastic Surgery Institute of California advice people to stick to these motivations for a plastic surgery in the feet.

What’s Good For The Environment - Jogging Or Plastic Surgery?

People have always extolled the good in jogging regularly and keeping the body in shape via religiously exercising, working out, etc.

Start comparing weight loss by jogging to weight loss via plastic surgery and the voice of reason in the room will immediately tell you what’s good for you (viz. exercise). But what the VOR rarely sees is the finer print.

The finer print talks about what exercise and cosmetic surgery respectively do for the environment. In their own way, they can be equally harmful.

Studies found cosmetic surgery procedures like liposuction and tummy tuck- that revolve around fat removal- involve an average of 1000 tons of carbon emission into the atmosphere.

Jogging or walking on the other hand involves consuming food for the energy required to travel. To produce this food, carbon emissions are involved and are present in almost every aspect from transporting the food, to processing it and expelling it, etc.

In his book on How to Live A Low-Carbon Life Chris Goodall has explained this concept very candidly. I would recommend this book for those of you who want to know more about the environment and your role in it.

The good part about plastic surgery is that you can always look for procedures that will allow you to reuse fat in other parts of your body. You can ask the Plastic Surgery Institute of California about how you can go about doing this.

What The Eyes Say About Your Face

It’s fascinating the little things that surveys and clinical studies throw up.

For instance, there was the study that the Oregon State University conducted which found that global warming in the next forty years would not only melt away snow but would also affect one of the best recreations that the rich enjoy- skiing. Now where would our socialites go when they are bored with the gossip circles!

Cause and effect, everything is the result of something and vice versa- fundamental fact in the universe.

The latest study published in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery journal of the ASPS had me thinking on the same lines. The study which was conducted by Yale University found that when presented with candidate faces digitally altered to show simulated eyelid surgery effects the subjects found these specimens to show greater emotion then generally perceived ideas of human expression.

Thus, if the photo was altered to make the candidate look like he had cosmetic surgery to reduce wrinkles and upper eyelid drooping in order to look less tired, the observer was found to rate the photo for a higher degree of tiredness than he would for a normally tired person.

Absolutely fascinating, this study, with all the people who go in for a cosmetic surgery procedure like blepharoplasty.

Like any other branch of medicine, plastic surgery is forever reinventing its theories and traditions. No fixed course exists for any cosmetic surgery procedure so far and never will.

Remember this when you visit your plastic surgeon for a consultation. At the Plastic Surgery Institute of California surgeons employ the firmest of surgery techniques. As much as we love new developments we also value patient safety.

Cosmetic Body Rejuvenation And The City

Aah! Sex and the City has finally released in NYC- the city it was conceptualized for and fans are showing no signs of ebbing their enthusiasm or excitement.

I for one am totally stoked with all the designer wear and shining, happy faces and skin on display. There’s nothing like a well-put together woman looking her glowing best wrapped in a dazzler of a dress.

It doesn’t matter if it’s the skinny Sarah Jessica Parker, the slender Cynthia Nixon, the voluptuous vixen-like Kim Cattrall or the demure and very proportionate Kristin Davis- the ladies know how to look good anyhow anyway.

It’s another matter the little nip and tucks the SATC girls might have had over the years by lieu of come cosmetic surgery. But none of them have admitted to any major plastic surgery so all we can do is guess away.

Age has left its mark on the women though and the four-some look far from the fresh-faced chicks that whirled into our lives in ’98. When the series began, the woman were thirty-something’s and now, in the movie depicts them as forty-something’s.

So Samantha’s breasts are less perky (breast lift surgery anyone?), Carrie’s face is bony (injectables, cheek implant, chin implant, face lift) and Cynthia’s body is going even more spare. From the lot, Charlotte alone seems to have attained physical nirvana which makes me think that being goody-two-shoes does have its plus points after all.

Reviewers say the movie reflects changing times, but I say it reflects just how much power women have in themselves to change anything including themselves. And hooray for that!

Cosmetic Surgery In Britain – The Latest

The BBC reported last Thursday a new trend noticed in plastic surgery practices in Britain- a migration to foreign climes for surgery procedures.

The article went on to state that plastic surgery patients look towards Poland largely, for plastic surgery procedures that are offered at half-rate prices and are equivalent to British cosmetic surgery quality-wise.

If you remember, there were similar trends noticed in America as well where plastic surgery in Los Angeles was favored for cosmetic surgery procedures in South American locales like Brazil, Costa Rica and Argentina. While plastic surgery in foreign countries may be offered at a lower rate, it would be prudent to remember the level of professionalism offered in countries like the U.S. and the U.K. and then make a decision.

On the weight loss surgery front, the U.K. has also noticed a spurt in procedures like liposuction and abdominoplasty among British schoolchildren. Breast reduction procedures for taking care of gynecomastia are also another cosmetic surgery procedure that is enjoying popularity among these age groups.

News like this just goes to show the striking similarity found between cosmetic surgery practices in the U.S. and in the U.K.

Have you come across any other more likely comparisons between the U.S. and the U.K? Speak out to the Plastic Surgery Institute of California.

Celebrate Your Curves – With Cosmetic Surgery

Has the time of the curvy femme fatale come?

The judges at America’s Next Top Model sure think so. In a first of sorts, Whitney Thompson- a U.S. size 10, actually got past the tough competition and became the first woman to do so in the show’s history.

But I’m not surprised and in fact am rather pleased with such a spectacular assertion of womanly curves. Tyra Banks, the host and one of the judges on the show, is known for her weight issues as her weight regularly fluctuates. Also traditionally, the show features at least one model considered to be plus-sized.

It’s a good thing for all the curvy or let’s say- full-figured women out there as 20-year-old Whitney hopes to reach out to the multitudes of youngsters with eating disorders and weight issues.

She says, “I've already heard online from boys and girls all over the world who are dealing with eating disorders. They're thanking me for standing up and saying, 'I am a plus-size model and I am beautiful.”

Stories like these ought to keep these young people from resorting to plastic surgery to fight fat. Frequently for individuals that are under 18 years of age, plastic surgery procedures like liposuction and abdominoplasty are the preferred weight loss options.

This is a scenario that needs to be avoided however, as surgical modification of a young body at times results in hampering the natural growth process.

If you think plastic surgery is the answer to all your weight problems, think again. The expert cosmetic surgery consultants and plastic surgeons at the Plastic Surgery Institute of California can help you decide.

PSI Loves Kelly Rowland’s Mom

Doris Garrison (Kelly’s mommy) brought up her kids the right way and we really admire her for that!

The first wise thing Doris Garrison did was leave her no-good husband when little Kelly was a lot younger. This single mom raised her child with a lot of help from Tina Knowles (Beyonce’s mother) and set her firmly on the path to fame as a member of Destiny’s Child.

The second wisest thing mamma Doris did was refuse teenage Kelly a breast augmentation surgery. In my opinion, this is the wisest thing she did.

In an interview with World Entertainment News Network, Kelly remembers her mom telling her, “Let your body finish developing” and reflects on her good fortune to have taken her advice. Now wish we had more mum and dads advising their teenage children similarly on any plastic surgery procedure.

While eighteen may seem like an age where you may want to let your teenager stay on the cutting edge of the latest trends, cosmetic surgery procedures like breast augmentation, rhinoplasty or a face lift surgery are not a great idea.

Advice them like how Kelly’s mom did and tell them to wait till their bodies are ready to deal with artificial modifications. If that doesn’t work, get professional help.

Alternatively, you can seek help from a plastic surgeon who will be in a better position to dish out the specifics against a teenage cosmetic surgery. We provide such help at the Plastic Surgery Institute of California.

The Perfect Woman’s Birthday Blues

Of Jamaican-Chinese descent and a one-time runway queen, Naomi Campbell has turned 38 and is still as tempestuous as ever.

She was seen rushing from P Diddy’s VIP party in tears and visibly upset. What could the woman have to cry for when she has everything anyone would die for?

Once upon a time she used to be the ‘Perfect Woman’ and if appearances are anything to go by, she still is.

The title I am referring to was awarded to Naomi in a research study conducted by the University of Gdansk in Poland. The scientists found that the perceptions of beauty are ruled principally by the span of the thighs and the length of the calves.

And Naomi apparently, possesses the perfect ratio of both. Read more about this finding here.

It’s not surprising then for plastic surgeons to come across cosmetic surgery cases where women request lower body sculpting and altering surgeries to conform to Naomi’s proportions. Liposuction surgery especially, is the plastic surgery procedure of choice for these women.

In my opinion, Naomi still has what it takes even though she has not been doing the modeling circuit for the past couple of years. It is quite possible to look past her terrible tantrums and get mesmerized with her face and slender body. A plastic surgery dream I tell you.

What do you think? Shout out your views to the Plastic Surgery Institute of California on this space.

From Paris to Jordan – Chantelle’s Plastic Surgery Journey

Once upon a time a girl from Essex looked like a wealthy heiress named Paris Hilton. She was so good at it that she modeled as a look-alike for the poor little rich girl (who was so very spoilt) and was ‘affectionately’ called Paris Travelodge.

Today, Chantelle Houghton has transformed herself into the overtly buxom Katie Price and has her own look-alike courtesy the very same modeling agency she used to work for. And all this was because of some cosmetic surgery work in choice parts of her body.

But be warned readers, Chantelle is an excellent example of plastic surgery gone overboard. Or should we say a breast augmentation junkie?

The first non-celebrity to star in Celebrity Big Brother (2006), Chantelle quickly rose in ranks to become the winner of the reality TV show. According to her, the failed marriage and subsequent split from fellow contestant Samuel Preston triggered her breast augmentation surgery motivations.

So Chantelle went on from a 32B to a 32DD and attributed fellow boob job junkie Katie Price aka Jordan as her inspiration.

The result is for all to see- a ‘bright, blond bimbo’ who is a cross between Paris Hilton and Katie Price- and not only physically at that!

You want quality plastic surgery procedures like a face lift surgery or a liposuction or tummy tuck than you need to sit and down and question yourself if you really require them. If they aren’t, then get realistic and consult your plastic surgeon about the ones that will really suit you.

Start your cosmetic surgery journey at the Plastic Surgery Institute of California.

Plastic Surgery To Help Flailing Musicians

A lot of people don’t remember The Nolan Sisters- the Irish siblings that were a pop phenomenon in the 70’s- anymore. But with their appearance on a new reality show called Pop Goes the Band a comeback seems to be in the cards.

The show is all about getting the participants (which are various bands) to look like how they did when they were at the peak of their careers. A team of plastic surgeons, dietitians, fitness experts and stylists are expected to work their magic on these one-time music darlings.

Before The Corrs became Ireland’s export to mainstream international pop music, The Nolan Sisters ruled the roost. Incidentally, both these groups consist of siblings.

The group first included the mother-father duo who along with their family formed the group The Singing Nolans. They then became The Nolan Sisters after the five elder daughters took over the mantle and finally settled on The Nolans after one of the sisters had a baby and left the group.

For most aging stars and former music wonders, a reality show is the direct route to reestablish them in the spotlight. Flagging careers and fading looks are revived in shows like Extreme Makeover, Dancing with the Stars, Big Brother, etc.

But maybe cosmetic surgery can get The Nolans back in business. If not as musicians then maybe they can get in business as jewelry/perfume/clothing designers or children’s book writers.

Let’s wait and watch what some handy plastic surgery can accomplish, shall we?

Shania’s On Her Way To A New Life

It’s sad when something like this happens.

For a man or woman in showbiz getting past the first year of marriage in itself is a miracle in itself. So when the divorce bug hit Canadian singer and songwriter Shania Twain and her music producer husband Robert ‘Mutt’ Lange after 14 years of marriage it was heartbreaking.

One of the most progressive and assertive female country music artists, Shania enjoyed amazing success for a small-town girl from Canada. Her musical talents were honed right from her childhood by her parents.

To her credit, Shania has stayed away from the media hullabaloo that hounds every celebrity touched by the spotlight. She has never been in the news for any plastic surgery rumor, has kept adulterer tendencies at bay and had more-or-less carved out a safe haven for her and her family.

So when news like this strikes, we can see exactly how vulnerable even the best of us are.

Regardless, Shania seems to be bearing up well. If only she goes out a bit more now and makes regular appearances in the news, she could have a better time while she recovers from her tragedy.

Maybe a bit of cosmetic surgery makeover would do her sagging spirits good. But then on second thought, this luscious 42-year-old doesn’t look like she needs any major (or even minor) cosmetic surgery!

What plastic surgery procedure would you recommend Shania Twain? Let the Plastic Surgery Institute of California know.

Plastic Surgery Consumer Alert – Cool Cosmetic Surgery Quiz:

When two renowned cosmetic surgery boards unite to generate consumer awareness, the result is a fab site called Beauty for Life. A joint effort of the ASPS and the ASAPS, this portal aims to get the consumer know better about any cosmetic surgery decision he has to make.

The site prickled my curiosity and I popped over for a dekko. What I seen left me suitably impressed. I had to create an account first and enter in details like age, height, weight, skin tone and gender.

My lifestyle was then analyzed which included smoking habits, diets, exercise, sun exposure, etc. In the next step, just like how a good plastic surgery consultant would have done, they tried to isolate my motivation for a surgery and the part/parts of the body I wanted to improve.

The comfort level indicator was a nice touch too and checked whether I would be alright with a surgery or would rather prefer a minimally invasive procedure. The part/parts of the body that need work were then further analyzed to create my beauty plan which was delivered to my mailbox.

Very spiffy and very easy. The Plastic Surgery Institute of California found Beauty for Life a completely handy tool for first time exponents of plastic surgery. While it does not give the professional and personalized help that cosmetic surgery consultants and specialists can give, it does a very good job of giving the candidate an idea.

One part of the website that I found really good was the ‘Changing with Aging’ section where all the cosmetic surgery procedures that are suitable for a particular age group are indicated alongside their suitability for that age. Now that would point out to teenagers especially, the viability of having a breast augmentation.

All in all, I would certainly advise patients to get an idea of their surgery from a site like this. But make sure that you take a second opinion from a plastic surgery specialist before you decide on a particular surgery. Our advanced surgical institute can help you out here.

Plastic Surgery For Indian Beauties:

Its common knowledge that L’Oreal is the sponsor of the Cannes Film Festival and as a brand ambassador, Aishwarya Rai’s presence at the annual fest is ensured.

This Indian actress was a former Miss World (1994) and is considered to be one of the most beautiful women in India. Married to one of the leading men of Bollywood (the Indian equivalent of Hollywood), this screen sizzler considers herself a representative of the Indian film industry.

And just like the glam divas of the American film industry, Aishwarya too is hounded by speculations on whether she has had plastic surgery or not.

She does look like she could be a target for some cosmetic surgery speculations. Look at her, she looks perfect! Near porcelain skin complements her light green eyes (which she has pledged to donate after she dies) and it is remarkably blemish-free.

Her skin brings to mind what can be accomplished with cosmetic surgery procedures like microdermabrasion or a chemical peel. She could be using fillers like Restylane or Collagen to keep that lush plumpness about her face.

But then it could be all that yummy Indian food too that’s giving her all that glow, not to mention completing one year of marriage to a really dishy Indian actor!

What do you think? Has Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan had plastic surgery? Let the Plastic Surgery Institute of California in on what you think.

Are You Getting Better With Age?:

Cameron Diaz is. In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, Cameron sounds very peppy and exclaims in delight, “I feel I get better with age ... I look at pictures of myself when I was 21 and think, 'Wow, I didn't look so bad.' But I take more care of myself now, so in a way I feel like I look better than I did then.... I feel stronger and more confident.”

Her face is very unconventional for a Hollywood actress and that in itself makes her stand out from the flock. She just needs open her mouth a little and her whole face lights up in a megawatt expression that brings sunshine and daisy’s to mind.

The little cosmetic surgery (though she claims her nose surgery was for medical reasons) she has had on her face has enhanced her looks beautifully and has made her one attractive 35-year-old. Her latest rom-com What Happens in Vegas has drawn up good reviews from the audience and has cheered her up a lot since the death of her father.

Cosmetic surgery to get a bit of happiness back in your life is a good thing, but should be considered only if you have realistic expectations about your body. Be confident with who you are and what you change with plastic surgery will become all the more valuable for it.

Get Cellulite Through Photoshop – Mischa Barton Did:

Some days back I told you’ll that the sweet-looking Mischa was photographed with really ugly cellulite dotting her thighs.

In an update on that, her rep now claims that it was a tasteless attempt at photoshopping her to make her look like an 80-year-old from the waist down. Huh!

I don’t see what the fuss is all about. Mischa is not the only one to have cellulite woes. Tyra Banks- one of the hottest supermodels around has it on her buttocks, Jennifer Lopez- stylish Latina diva too has it on her famous butt.

Almost every woman who has carried a baby has had to deal with cellulite. You could even say that it comes with the job of being with a woman. All you can do is get some good concealer or get in touch with a plastic surgeon or a dermatologist who is experienced with dealing with cellulite.

Cosmetic surgery can however, provide only temporary respite and has not found a complete remedy for cellulite till date. The Plastic Surgery Institute of California can help you out with your cellulite problems.

Less U.S. Teen Pregnancies And Older Mums:

MSNBC reported a pleasant surprise last month. The latest U.S. pregnancy trends showed lesser numbers of young women with child. It discovered that there were more chances of an unwed mother turning out to be an older woman rather than a younger one.

Does this mean that the American girl is getting wiser about early pregnancies? Certainly and a good job she’s doing of it too!

Contraceptives and birth control awareness have been the main culprits of this nice trend and pundits think that TV shows and the glitzy lives of the glamorous could very likely also be one of the reasons.

Hmm… not a bad POV. Maybe teenagers prefer following the scandals their trendier counterparts on Gossip Girl and The Hills cause more than having one of their own.

But what about plastic surgery?

Teenage breast augmentation figures in the U.S. are in no way waning and seem to be spurred on by the happenings on the silver screen. The authorities in Australia are taking a stand though and the Queensland government are really, really serious about enforcing a ban on cosmetic surgery for under-18’s.

Our people in the States are contemplating a similar move which was greatly underlined by recent teenage deaths caused due to complications faced because of plastic surgery.

It remains to be seen now what the verdict is going to be. The Plastic Surgery Institute of California provides counsel and services for those parents who are faced with requests for cosmetic surgery from their teenage sons and daughters. Visit us to know more.

Embarrassing Bodies Boosts Cosmetic Surgery Popularity:

Channel 4’s medical-themed reality series Embarrassing Bodies is a novel show by reality TV standards. The crew/cast of the series prance all over Britain looking out for people too shy or uncomfortable to tell their doctor about an illness or medical condition that’s bothering them.

Apparently the show has managed to make way for a dramatic surge in the demand for cosmetic surgery services in the United Kingdom. And why not, most of the men and women who appear on the show in search of a cure have odd protrusions and physical deformities that can be corrected through reconstructive plastic surgery.

Everything and everyone from the male scrotum to a woman with psoriasis is examined in detail. Treatments are either meted out by the doctors or the patients are referred to an authority able to deal with the problem.

A reality show reflecting on an off-screen function like plastic surgery’s popularity is not a new phenomenon however. Everybody remembers how shows like Extreme Makeover and Dr. 90210 decoded plastic surgery for the middle class. Similarly, shows like American Gladiators too brought back the pizzazz that was so missing in exercise and fitness.

It’s all good when you see perfect bodies (some not that perfect thanks to no makeup) on-screen that seems to have ‘imperfections’ that need to be treated. But take time to research your plastic surgery procedure and talk with an experienced plastic surgeon before you decide to have one.

Cher, Cosmetic Surgery And A Comeback:

Original showgirl Cher is back!

The 61 year-old singer has taken possession of the stage once again and is going to perform for a 3 year period at Ceasar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Cher and Las Vegas, now that’s one combination that’s got scintillating flamboyance written all over it!

Cher is famous for her totally groovy costumes and almost as famous for getting a lot of cosmetic surgery work done during her career. In a recent interview with Oprah, she exclaimed that getting older in showbiz ‘sucks’.

Small wonder than that the woman felt the need to take some help from the plastic surgeon’s scalpel to keep the cheques coming in. And a good decision it has been too.

I just checked out her official website and she looks stunning in it; even the opening night concert pictures I looked up were fabulous enough to make me green with envy! Plastic surgery and age have mellowed up dear old Cher quite captivatingly.

Just last year Cher ‘fessed up to getting some help from a cosmetic face lift surgery to keep her looks ravishing enough to ensure audience loyalty. I have to say, while a few years back she didn’t look all that hot, she looks fit to give the younger singers in the industry today a right run for their money.

So what do you think? Has Cher’s face lift done her looks justice or is she ageing badly? Let the Plastic Surgery Institute of California know what you think.

That Dreaded Cellulite! Get Rid Of It At The Plastic Surgery Institute Of California:

Poor Mischa Barton has been caught exposing her cellulite again and this time it’s on her buttocks.

Photographed by paparazzi while she was sunbathing in Australia, the photo showed ugly patches of cellulite in full display on her bikini-covered butt. But she is not the only one who has been suffering from this woe, Jennifer Lopez too has it. Britney Spears has been known to flash it time and again and Nicole Kidman has also been spotted with it.

Just about anyone can have to put up with the occurrence of cellulite- size doesn’t matter much for this problem. Till date there has been no known cure for cellulite. Dermatologists and cosmetic surgery specialists have at best come up with solutions that minimize its appearance.

Cellulite affects women more than men because the bands of fiber that connect fat to the skin do not cross each other to hold back the fat. When these fibers do not connect to the skin, fat tends to accumulate and create the rippling effect that marks the presence of cellulite.

At the Plastic Surgery Institute of California we have excellent options like Slimplaster which makes the skin firmer and minimizes the appearance of cellulite. Another useful cosmetic treatment we offer is the FDA approved device Velasmooth which can target the love handles, buttocks, arms, calves, the braline, etc.

Plastic Surgery Alert – Laser Lipolysis Devices Advance:

The plastic surgery profession is constantly looking out for non-invasive alternatives to ease the pain and discomfort that are generally experienced in a cosmetic operation. The summer especially, is a time when research for these procedures peak.

The main reason is sun exposure which can be a deterrent to the recovery period of most cosmetic surgery procedures.

Lipotherme™, a 980 nm laser lipolysis tool has been developed by Osyris with a good aim in mind, namely, as a less painful alternative to a liposuction surgery Los Angeles.

The heat of the laser liquefies fat and tightens the skin in the chin, calf, knees, lower back, lower abdomen and the region behind the arms. Upon closer observation you may notice that this device treats fat in those parts of the body that are difficult to reach.

While traditional liposuction procedures Los Angeles may involve more extensive fat removal, this laser alternative is better in small doses and in treating localized areas of fat.

A liposuction, while a major elective surgery is a great way to trim unwanted fat deposits from the body; and such an innovation could be of great help in tackling hard-to-treat parts of the body.
