Jamie Lee Curtis Going Topless At 50 – Help From Cosmetic Surgery?:

Jamie Lee Curtis is one actress who has got quite a kitty-full of nicknames to mark her advancement in Hollywood. She started out with ‘Scream Queen’, moved on to ‘The Body’ and finally ended up with ‘Freeze Frame’. As you must have guessed, the latter two names are on deference to her fantastic figure that got its share of wolf whistles.

It would be hard to believe that this actress once had a cosmetic surgery procedure like liposuction and even dabbled in Botox. The procedures did not turn out to be what she expected and she pretty much shocked fans when she admitted that she turned to painkillers to drown the disappointment.

Then JLC announced that she would be quitting acting altogether because she wasn’t ‘ageing well’. So it comes as something of an irony when I came across a cover she did for the AARP saying that she did it to urge people to ‘age wisely and well’.

Hmm… quite a contradiction this woman is, I must say.

But then for an actress who was blasted with rumors of being a hermaphrodite, she turned out to be quite the sexy screen siren. I wonder, did she have some help from a breast augmentation to bolster that image?

Whatever her secret may be, at 50 Jamie Lee Curtis has finally made peace with her body and self and looks all the more better for it.

So what do you think? Do you still have it in you to rock the world? The Plastic Surgery Institute of California would sure love to know how you do it!

Wanna Get That Feel Good Feeling? Cosmetic Surgery Orange County Can Oblige:

That amazing branch of medicine that can rethink the way you look at your body (usually for the better) is none other than plastic surgery. a tummy tuck Beverly Hills, a chin enhancement Beverly Hills or a face lift Pasadena can do wonders for your body image and your personality as well.

Top plastic surgeons at the Plastic Surgery Institute of California can even modify these major elective cosmetic surgery procedures (working on the guidelines set by a certifying body like the ASPS of course) and can use them for corrective treatment of various parts of the body. This is the serious side of cosmetic surgery and is loosely given the moniker of plastic surgery.

It is possible for a patient to be displeased or dissatisfied with the outcome of a procedure like face lift surgery Beverly Hills or a nose surgery Orange County. While I am not going to say this is normal I am not going to lie about its possibility either. The best precaution to reduce this possibility is by establishing a good communication level with your plastic surgeon.

You attitude towards plastic surgery can also affect your satisfaction with the job. “Plastic surgery junkies need to think about why they want more work done. Obviously it’s much easier to change your outlook on life than it is to change your external look…” (Rosen Christine, The Democratization of Beauty, 2004, p.2).

What do you think? Do you think you can be a good candidate for getting that feel good feeling with cosmetic surgery? Our advanced surgical institute for cosmetic surgery can help you find out.

How Much Silicone Is Good Enough For You?:

I came across this rather sad story about a Philippine actress today which left me feeling very bad for the poor soul.

The actress Lau An Ling, has had about US$200,000 worth in cosmetic treatments till date (since 1999), reflecting the cosmetic surgery antics of many of her Western counter-parts (Jocelyn Wildenstein, Joan Rivers, etc.).

This lady has had silicone implants inserted into her face, nose, hands and buttocks and even in her vagina. Whew, what an awful lot of dissatisfaction she must have felt towards her body!

So where did this woman go wrong?

The vaginoplasty this woman had was the start of her troubles. She says, “I was desperate to make myself more beautiful, to assure myself that I am an attractive woman.” There are few bad things that you can enter with into a plastic surgery procedure with and an unrealistic attitude towards it certainly counts as the weakest.

Lau An Ling oscillated between many doctors, cosmetologists and plastic surgeons because she was “very trusting and some of these doctors are big names in the Philippines.” No matter how attractive a cosmetic surgeon may be and no matter how big a celebrity client-list he may have, it is a smart move to check up on his certification and his board affiliation.

Make a wise plastic surgery California decision. There’s more to lose than your identity if your surgery goes wrong.

Would You Give An Arm For Plastic Surgery?:

There are some people (Madonna, Angelina Jolie) who work hard to cultivate that thin-boned, muscle-armed look; so much so that their veins come to the surface from time to time.

And then again there are those whose arms are either too bulky or too saggy to pull off a bare-arm and shoulder look. I’m talking about people like Britney spears and Kelly Osbourne over here.

For the former group there is no better piece of advice than putting on some healthy weight and eating well. While for the latter group losing weight uniformly could be a smart action. Unless of course you want to have an arm lift cosmetic surgery procedure called brachioplasty.

Bat wings or floppy arms are remedied very well through this plastic surgery Los Angeles procedure which shucks off excess skin responsible for the saggy appearance. This cosmetic surgery Los Angeles procedure can also help out with subcutaneous fat deposits that look rather lumpy when wearing that gorgeous sleeveless gown.

At the Plastic Surgery Institute of California we have an excellent team of dedicated plastic surgeons who take care of minor physical deformities that seem to make a major difference in physical appearance.

Do you have arms that look terrible? Get in touch with our advanced surgical institute.

How Long Does Your Cosmetic Surgery Last?:

The first fact about cosmetic surgery Newport Beach that you need to remember is that it includes both cosmetic enhancement operations and reconstructive surgery procedures. The first instance is generally performed to reshape normal body parts in order to improve the patient's over-all appearance.

On the other hand reconstructive plastic surgery Orange County is usually performed on unconventional parts of the body to improve their functions, and possibly rectify any deformities. If the plastic surgeon is experienced enough he can also perform a reconstructive surgery and give it a cosmetic edge.

The approximate time for procedure however, differs. A tummy tuck procedure Orange County takes 2-3 hours while a botox treatment takes just about 10 minutes. A breast augmentation Beverly Hills takes about an hour as compared to a breast lift surgery Orange County or a breast reduction Orange County any of which could last for 2-3 hours.

A chin enhancement Beverly Hills takes about an hour just the same as an eyelid surgery Newport Beach. A face lift Pasadena however, due to its complex nature, takes a little longer than the others- approximately 3-4 hours while liposuction surgery Los Angeles duration is again subjective to what areas need to be worked on.

Different procedures last for different durations. Want to know which one suits you best?

Bug Your PSI Plastic Surgeons With These Questions – We Encourage It:

The dream to look and feel better is what you have. The ability to sculpt this dream into reality is what your plastic surgeon should be capable of. In order for this to be possible, a number of vital questions have to be answered before going ahead with the process that leads up to satisfactory surgery results.

The most important question is the one that concerns your decision to go ahead with plastic surgery. You have to be sure of what type of surgery you exactly want. Do you want to go for enhancing or reconstructing your face? Then maybe you need to go for a cheek, chin or lip augmentation, or a facelift, or a rhinoplasty, or ear correction. If enhancing your breasts is what you want, then there are breast augmentations, lifts, reductions or reconstructive options available.

Get your homework done.
With the ‘before surgery’ and ‘after surgery’ photographs most clinics and organizations display in their advertisements, cosmetic surgery is bound to look very appealing at the best of times. But it is important to be aware of the risks, complications, and other precautions that come along with a surgery. How comfortable you are with the clinic and cosmetic surgeon you have selected depends a lot on how well you do your homework.

A surgeon’s skills are as good as his credentials and experience.
While you may have been referred a surgeon by a friend, acquaintance or even your own physician, it is important that you run a check before utilizing his services just to be safe. It’s that seemingly insignificant step towards getting better results. Ask for his and his clinic’s certification as well. Members of the ASPS, for instance, are trained particularly in plastic surgery. The Plastic Surgery Institute of California is one such facility that is affiliated with this association.

Techniques and processes that will be applied in your surgery.
An understanding of what you will undergo under the knife will help a long way, both emotionally and physically in softening the cut and soothing it later. It’s your body, and you have to be able to understand what was done to it to appreciate the new you and take care of yourself better.

We have a team of qualified and experienced surgeons at our advanced surgical institute who are able to guide you with detailed advice on cosmetic surgery procedures with ease. No doubt or misgiving is too small to go unanswered.

Plastic Surgery Alert - Are You A Beauty Junky?:

A new book on cosmetic surgery has been making the rounds lately and I should be getting my hands on it soon. According to the product description that I read up on Amazon the author of Beauty Junkies, Alex Kuczynzki “captures the follies, frauds, and fanaticism that fuel the American pursuit of youth and beauty in a wickedly revealing excursion into the burgeoning business of cosmetic enhancement.”

That in itself makes it sound very ominous for the plastic surgery profession. Since I have yet to read the book, I am reserving comment for now. But it still makes me wonder how many similar books this branch of medicine can do without to increase the seeds of doubt in the minds of people.

The book My Beautiful Mommy, a ‘guide’ book for young children whose parents have had a plastic surgery Orange County is still in the eye of controversy and in my opinion the ripples are going to last for a long time. Kuczynski’s book seems to raise some questions as well, mainly in the eyes of the wary consumer and the untrusting third person.

Is America truly beauty obsessed or are we just seeking something that will make us view ourselves in a more positive light? More than a fraction of the patients that visit us at our advanced surgical institute for cosmetic enhancement surgery recount stories of how they need a positive change in their life. The reasons for this change centers mostly around their decision to have plastic surgery for themselves.

If they think otherwise, consultation experts experienced in professional counseling are always ready to help them out. If you are a beauty junky, the Plastic Surgery Institute of California can help you cultivate a healthier attitude towards your body.

Financial Security - Check Or Uncheck:

The ‘knife-style’ of the rich is no longer exclusively for the strata of society from which its popularity originated. Plastic surgery has entered the living room of the average American man and woman with a host of television and movie celebrities openly flaunting their perfect- to- a- T bodies.

The increase in popularity of this branch of medicine has led to a decrease in the cost of cosmetic surgery procedures. As its exclusivity is no more limited, plastic surgery is so widespread today, that by the year 2020, people are sure to backtrack if you say you haven’t undergone plastic surgery even once, according to Sander Gilman, an Emory University professor and author of two books on plastic surgery. Evidently, going under the knife has ceased to be a pocket pincher.

When charging you for their services, plastic surgeons consider factors like their experience and demand in the field, the time, effort and complexity of the procedure and the geographic location of the facility. Accompanying factors like operating room and anesthesia fees, lab fees, implant costs, etc. are also deciding factors where price is concerned. After zeroing in on the procedure you want to go ahead with, it is advisable to conduct a detailed research into the practices and prices of different cosmetic surgeons in order to get a bird’s eye view of all the options available.

The one drawback that plastic surgery for aesthetic purposes faces is its exclusion from health insurance plans. However, plastic surgery for correcting a disfigurement or deformities does not face any such problem. The significant difference between aesthetic surgery and reconstructive surgery is highlighted when this factor is taken into consideration. Loans for cosmetic surgery, though available in some banks, are treated as ‘unsecured’ personal loans.

At the Plastic Surgery Institute of California, we arrange for financing with major financial institutions at competitive rates. A superior standard and exceptional quality in surgery procedures is what we guarantee you. We take preoperative photographs and include them in your medical record.

Ear correction:

Ear surgery, also known as otoplasty, is typically done to set prominent ears back closer to the head or to moderate the size of large ears. Few unfortunate people grow up with prominent ears, receiving teases and scoffs.

In order to avoid this, the Plastic Surgery Institute of California suggests ear correction surgery, preferably when the child is between ages four to 5 years.

Ear surgery, by and large takes about two to three hours. However, complicated procedures may take longer. The problem determines the duration of the operation.

There are two ways that cosmetic surgeons go about this surgical procedure. With one of the more common techniques, the surgeon makes a small incision in the back of the ear to expose the ear cartilage. He will then sculpt the cartilage and bend it back toward the head. Non-removable stitches may be used to help maintain the new shape. Occasionally, the surgeon will remove a larger piece of cartilage to provide a more natural-looking fold when the surgery is complete.

Another technique involves a similar incision in the back of the ear. Skin is removed and stitches are used to fold the cartilage back on itself to reshape the ear without removing cartilage.

Ear correction surgery will leave a faint scar in the back of the ear that will fade with time. Even when only one ear appears to protrude, surgery is usually performed on both ears for a better balance.

The Plastic Surgery Institute of California helps you build a positive approach towards the surgery. At our advanced surgical institute, we have the best plastic surgeons in the industry at are work centers located at Beverly Hills and Los Angeles.

Hey, There Goes An Orange! (Fake Tans Are So Not Cool):

Finally there’s someone speaking up about the over-tanned body craze that has hit the world lately. Just about everybody and their grandmother has been sporting the ridiculous baked-orange ‘glow’ that, in my opinion, looks simply hideous.

A natural suntan is something and an over-done suntan (Donatella Versace) or an artificial one (Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, Pamela Anderson) is quite another thing altogether. There are people who prefer a tanned look through a sunbed rather than the natural vitamin D that can be soaked in from the sun.

According to research, sunbeds can be real harmful for the skin and are even known to cause skin cancer. Some affected cases have permanently damage skin with blemishes and blotchy spots.

Cosmetic surgery procedures like laser treatments can remedy blemishes and spots caused by excess tanning, but they cannot be expected to be of much help. Your safest bet would be to use a tanning spray, lotion or bronzer, sparingly may I add.

It would be nice to see a tanned person who doesn’t make the eyes hurt for a change. For more plastic surgery help, visit the Plastic Surgery Institute of California.
