Your Discarded Breast Tissue Could Help Battle Cancer

In another effort to help the cause against cancer, plastic surgeons are now supplying breast tissue that was discarded after a breast augmentation in Newport Beach or a breast reduction to scientists.

Cell Stem Cell a journal discussing the latest cell research narrates a study conducted by scientists from Britain, Vancouver and Ontario, that discovered the usefulness of this plastic surgery in California ‘waste’. The scientists have successfully created a catalogue of genes that occur in normal, healthy breast tissue.

This cataloguing can help to eradicate those stem cells that contribute to the growth of breast cancer and could function better once a technique that will prevent damage to the tissue surrounding the affected part is found.

While stem cells are the focus of this study and are used to study the difference between healthy breast tissue and cancerous tumors, scientists are looking for ways to preserve them from the toxicity that sets in due to cancer.

So now, you don’t have to think of the breasts that burdened you and made you resort to a breast reduction in Newport Beach as completely futile. They are important and can someday, hopefully make you proud that you were part of the fight against cancer!

Visit the Plastic Surgery Institute of California for a great breast reduction surgery in Newport Beach and a healing cosmetic surgery experience.

Do Your Nose Surgery Homework Or Get A Stroke

Relax. It’s not as bad as it sounds.

Joe Serio, a nose enhancement patient wishes it were better though.

WCTV reported a story about a plastic surgery procedure that went wrong last month. They spoke about Joe Serio, who had a nose enhancement procedure without considering all the aspects of an operation.

Some nose surgery in Los Angeles patients require administration of general anesthesia and Joe apparently, was one of them. While under anesthesia, Joe suffered a stroke, which resulted in loss of vision in his right eye. Coming on the heels of a similar complication in a British woman’s face lift, this comes as a precautionary tale and should not be disregarded.

Anesthesia risks in cosmetic surgery are not uncommon, but even then, are very rare. Check if your family has a history of anesthesia intolerance and present your plastic surgeon in Los Angeles with all your medical history or any health problems you may have.

Regardless of this, risks during or after a surgery for nose enhancement in Los Angeles cannot be avoided. The same can be said for any other surgery. What you can do though, is reduce the level of risk.

One way you can do this is by educating yourself about the procedure and communicating with your doctor. Get in touch with the Plastic Surgery Institute of California to know more.

Angelina Jolie Needs A Mommy Makeover Of A Different Kind

Two of the most beautiful people in the world- Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, welcomed two new additions to the Pitt-Jolie family on June 12.

As is to be expected rumors about the delivery kept the gossip lines busy with questions of has she/hasn’t she swirling about during the past few weeks. It was also predicted that the pregnancy would be a difficult one for Angelina, due to her diminishing weight as the pregnancy advanced and the twins she was carrying.

Actor Jane Seymour even put in her own two bits for the Hollywood hottie when she was expectant saying, “My advice to (Angelina) is to put some weight on. I think she needs to keep putting on weight so she can feed those babies. I don’t think she should think twice. She hasn’t put on enough weight.”

Quite true this.

While mommy makeovers in Los Angeles believes that post-pregnancy cosmetic surgery can do wonders for the new mother, we think that the expectant mom also needs to pile on enough weight to carry the child. Angelina, when expecting her twins, was underweight, enough so that she would be faced with tremendous exhaustion at the end of the day.

The Plastic Surgery Institute of California welcomes mothers who are expecting and who have given birth. Our advanced surgical institute can help you shed the excess skin and flab gained during pregnancy with our mommy makeovers procedures.
