Plastic Surgery Alert - Are You A Beauty Junky?:

A new book on cosmetic surgery has been making the rounds lately and I should be getting my hands on it soon. According to the product description that I read up on Amazon the author of Beauty Junkies, Alex Kuczynzki “captures the follies, frauds, and fanaticism that fuel the American pursuit of youth and beauty in a wickedly revealing excursion into the burgeoning business of cosmetic enhancement.”

That in itself makes it sound very ominous for the plastic surgery profession. Since I have yet to read the book, I am reserving comment for now. But it still makes me wonder how many similar books this branch of medicine can do without to increase the seeds of doubt in the minds of people.

The book My Beautiful Mommy, a ‘guide’ book for young children whose parents have had a plastic surgery Orange County is still in the eye of controversy and in my opinion the ripples are going to last for a long time. Kuczynski’s book seems to raise some questions as well, mainly in the eyes of the wary consumer and the untrusting third person.

Is America truly beauty obsessed or are we just seeking something that will make us view ourselves in a more positive light? More than a fraction of the patients that visit us at our advanced surgical institute for cosmetic enhancement surgery recount stories of how they need a positive change in their life. The reasons for this change centers mostly around their decision to have plastic surgery for themselves.

If they think otherwise, consultation experts experienced in professional counseling are always ready to help them out. If you are a beauty junky, the Plastic Surgery Institute of California can help you cultivate a healthier attitude towards your body.
