Protect Your Cheeks, They Could Protect Your Youth

Cheeks are important and no mistake about it.

Last month Science Daily reported a study that brought to light the importance of the deep fat compartments located in the cheeks of a person and its direct relation to his or her youthful appearance.

The study was published in the ASPS' Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery journal's June edition and is reiterated by the analysis conducted by cosmetic surgeons at the UT Southwestern Medical Center.

These researchers identified four cheek-fat compartments submerged deep in the facial skin. Through a treatment similar to a face implant surgery these compartments were methodically boosted in candidates with hollow cheeks.

Cosmetic surgeons normally use fat transplants, tissue grafts or silicone or prosthetic implants in a face implant procedure. The researchers were able to obtain a significantly improved facial appearance in the patients using similar inserts.

The resulting look was spectacular and very distinct with under-eye hollows plumped, creases around the nose and mouth improved and to an extent, eliminated. The curve of the lips was also lifted by a few degrees giving off a younger spark around the mouth areas.

Looks like the time to take care of the cheeks and pander to their form has finally arrived and very soon that blusher could be given a miss.
