Why Cynthia Nixon’s Mad About Her Breasts

It takes guts, no doubt about it.

When Cynthia Nixon a breast cancer survivor, consented to appear topless in front of millions of women who admire her as Miranda from Sex and the City, it took solid guts!

But when the breasts above the guts were speculated on as having undergone a breast augmentation, it was a pretty low hit for the woman. By no means a buxom redhead, Cynthia was reported by the New York Post to have had a breast surgery earlier this month in an attempt to swell her breast size.

In a statement made by the actress she negates the rumors saying she was at St Luke's Roosevelt Hospital for her three-monthly checkup in the Oncology department. She scoffs, "I guess they think that means plastic surgery."

For a breast cancer survivor it is especially hard to slip back into the routine established before the disease strikes. While women who have had a lumpectomy or a mastectomy no doubt have a reconstructive breast surgery or a breast lift surgery, there are some who prefer to leave their breasts unchanged.

Either way, it is important to remember the immense strength required to get through the treatments and support such stalwarts.
