Plastic Surgery To Help Flailing Musicians

A lot of people don’t remember The Nolan Sisters- the Irish siblings that were a pop phenomenon in the 70’s- anymore. But with their appearance on a new reality show called Pop Goes the Band a comeback seems to be in the cards.

The show is all about getting the participants (which are various bands) to look like how they did when they were at the peak of their careers. A team of plastic surgeons, dietitians, fitness experts and stylists are expected to work their magic on these one-time music darlings.

Before The Corrs became Ireland’s export to mainstream international pop music, The Nolan Sisters ruled the roost. Incidentally, both these groups consist of siblings.

The group first included the mother-father duo who along with their family formed the group The Singing Nolans. They then became The Nolan Sisters after the five elder daughters took over the mantle and finally settled on The Nolans after one of the sisters had a baby and left the group.

For most aging stars and former music wonders, a reality show is the direct route to reestablish them in the spotlight. Flagging careers and fading looks are revived in shows like Extreme Makeover, Dancing with the Stars, Big Brother, etc.

But maybe cosmetic surgery can get The Nolans back in business. If not as musicians then maybe they can get in business as jewelry/perfume/clothing designers or children’s book writers.

Let’s wait and watch what some handy plastic surgery can accomplish, shall we?
